E.D. 3.46 cc Mk. IV
The 3.46 cc E.D. Mk. IV was the fifth model diesel to appear as part of the famous E.D. range of model engines. It was introduced by that name in mid-1949 and was later marketed as the Hunter. It survived until early 1962, almost to the end of model engine production by the original E.D. company, passing through some five variants along the way. Although not one of E.D.'s most prominent models, it was an excellent engine which served its many purchasers well.
Although the design of the Mk. IV was never openly credited to Basil Miles by E.D., there’s little doubt in my mind that he was actually the designer of this extremely user-friendly model powerplant. A full review and test of the engine may be found elsewhere on this website.
