Rivers Silver Arrow

The most powerful 3.5 cc (0.21 cuin.) diesel ever marketed in Britain during the "classic" era. Introduced in September 1959, the SIlver Arrow was manufactured thereafter in several distinct variants. The standards to which it was manufactured were among the highest in the modelling world. Production continued right up to the late 1963 demise of the Rivers range, apparently due to financial difficulties. Current estimates are that a total of some 2,900 examples were produced in total. For more information on the Rivers Silver Arrow and other Rivers designs, see my earlier article to be found elsewhere on this website.
