This one is more a case of confirmation than anything else - I think I know what it is, but am not certain. These photos came my way from one of my regular readers some time ago, with a request that I identify the engine. At the time I was unable to do so, but further research has indicated that it may be a French Maraget 5 cc diesel from 1952. Can any reader confirm or correct this I/D?!?  If so, please use the email link provided. Regardless, nice engine!! 

IDENTIFICATION CONFIRMED! I subsequently acquired an example of this engine (possibly the very same example) and confirmed its identity as a Maraget 5 cc diesel of 1952.  A beautifully-made engine which starts and runs very well!
